Is your closet ready for fall? Everyone’s wardrobe can use a little fall-fashion refresh. As the leaves change colors, so do our fashion trends. The cold temperatures are officially upon us. And nothing screams fall more than wearing a comfy sweater and being wrapped up in a scarf. So get ready, because it is finally time to break out the boots and jackets.
- Scarf
Not only do scarves keep us warm, but they can also work as a fashion statement. Scarves can transform a boring outfit into a completely different one. Pair a knit one for some texture, a pattern one for an extra pizazz or even tie one around your neck. Blanket scarves are a great way to stay warm and cozy. They can be purchased almost anywhere now because they have become a fall trend.
2. Sweaters
A big comfy sweater is the way to my heart in the fall. If we start putting on that holiday weight, sweaters are an adequate way to cover it up. They are the most versatile style. You can dress them up with a pair of jeans and a statement necklace or cozy-down with a pair of your favorite leggings.

3. Booties
Knee high boots have started to diminish over the years, and booties started making a comeback. My favorite part about booties is that you can wear them during the day or night. They can be paired with almost any type of pants and can be pretty inexpensive as well.

Two pairs of booties I purchased for the fall.
4. Denim, denim, denim!
It’s back! For a while denim went out of style, but it is now back and better than ever. Skirts and jackets are a major part of my fall wardrobe. You can dress any of them up or down depending on your mood. Denim skirts have definitely been a fall fashion trend this year, and they can be paired with a pair of tights and boots when it gets into the colder days as well. Denim jackets can spice up any outfit you have on during the fall. They keep you warm when the air is nippy but don’t make you completely melt when the sun is still out.

Currently my favorite denim skirt and jacket!
5. Tote bags
Every summer I switch over to a smaller cross-body bag. It is easier to walk around with on vacation, and I don’t need to carry as much stuff. But when the chilly months hit, I transition to a larger tote bag. Having a bigger bag allows me to carry more crap than I need to!

My go-to Michael Kors handbag that I grab every fall.
Fall fashion is one of my favorites. There’s nothing I love more than being able to be cozy and look cute all at the same time. Don’t forget that fashion isn’t just about keeping up with the latest trends. It’s about expressing yourself and having fun with it. Don’t over think it!
