Art Publicity

Behind the work of every artist lies a tale. A tale of falling in love with Fine Art, developing their own contemporary style and choosing the main subject. The final stepping stone in any artist’s life story is this simple question: How did the artist make himself or herself known? Did the artist give art to friends as gifts or did they post pictures online. With the modern automated technology enveloping the world, artists are practically required to take their crafting prowess to the digital realm. But this raises even more questions: What art sale website/websites did the artists choose and why? Does the artist sell his or her work as a hobby or as their main source of income? The following are two among many stories of artists making a name for themselves. The rest, you’ll have to formulate for yourself.

The first area to cover in this tale is the site itself. The first step in digitizing your art products is choosing a website where it will get noticed and sold. That or simply post it on every social media website known to man. One of the more popular art-sale websites is Etsy is an art corporation spread throughout the world whose seeks to the flame of human creativity burning bright.

For some aspiring artists, wasn’t where they started, but a means of expanding business. One such artist is Marco Solar, who started his art career with his wife, Maya, during a five year stay in Domburg in the Netherlands. They sought inspiration from their favorite Netherlands beach, often capturing the beauty of ocean waves. Years later, they moved to France, near Bayonne, where they toured every art gallery they could find. The Solar’s art combines different art  techniques using the lighting of Hossegor, France and the Netherlands.

“We both love art, just as we love the ocean,” Solar said. “Painting and discovering new art pieces have become a big part of our free time.”

The Solars chose because of the site’s high popularity; however, it isn’t their only art-market website. The only hardship the Solars have faced, from their point of view, is whether or not a particular website sells their art. The Solars have been on since May 30, 2015.

Other artists chose Etsy as a means of self-promotion. One of these artists is Leonid Afremov. Afremov has been painting since he was a child. His teachers encouraged him to hone his talent and he continued studying to this day. Afremov saw as a viable outlet to sell art, joining the site back in 2013.

“I prefer to represent myself and not rely on art dealers or galleries,” Afremov said.

Afremov also forged his own website,, where he sells oil paintings and prints. Afremov also works with, ebay, and other websites. His art work focuses mainly on capturing the natural beauty of varying subjects such as landscapes, city views, flowers, the ocean, parks, people, etc.

The tales of these artists are only two among millions of people who intend to capture the world around them in their own unique way. Go on to and discover the beauty human hands can forge.
