Summer is a time for relaxation, having fun with loved ones, and trying new things. So why not try new drinks as well, to keep summer alive as it is sadly coming to an end. Here’s a list of drink must-tries and recipes before summer is officially over:
1. Brain Hemorrhage
The Brain Hemorrhage is a drink made with Baileys, peach schnapps and grenadine. It looks extremely intimidating at first glance, but surprisingly tastes of peaches and cream from the Irish liqueur.
Recipe:
Step 1: Pour 1 ounce of peach schnapps into a shot glass.
Step 2: Pour 1 teaspoon of the Baileys into the shot glass gently.
Step 3: Pour a splash of grenadine into the shot glass and watch the Baileys sink slowly.
2. Trinbago Knightrider
The Trinbago Knightrider is made of White Oak’s coconut flavored rum, grenadine, Blue curacao, peach liqueur and a sour mix. It tastes rather sweet and has a good balance of tangy with a kick from the White Oak’s coconut flavored rum.
Recipe:
Step 1: Put your sour mix in a glass then mix in your 1 ounce of grenadine and 1 ounce of peach liqueur.
Step 2: Mix your 1 ounce of the coconut rum and 2 ounces of Blue Curacao in a separate glass with ice, then combine in the first glass.
Step 3: Add a slice of lemon for garnish.
3. Blended Mango Margarita
The Blended Mango Margarita is a fun twist on the classic margarita with thin slices of mango the drink. It’s extremely refreshing and has a nice colorful twist to it.
Recipe:
Step 1: Put 3 cups of frozen mango chunks into a blender with your choice of 2 cups of tequila and ½ cup of lime juice.
Step 2: Add 3 cups of ice and blend to specific consistency. It should look smooth and have no chunks in it.
Step 3: Add salt to the rim of the glass, then pour in the final mixture.
4. Liquid Marijuana
The Liquid Marijuana is made of Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, blue curacao liqueur, Malibu Coconut Rum, Midori melon liqueur, pineapple juice, and a splash of sweet and sour mix. The pineapple juice is used as a chaser to keep the drink leveled.
Recipe:
Step 1: Add ½ ounce of Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, blue curacao liqueur, Malibu Coconut Rum, Midori melon liqueur, and 10 ounces of pineapple juice to a glass with ice.
Step 2: Shake the mixture, not blend to avoid watering it down.
Step 3: Add a splash of the sweet and sour mix, then stir.
4. Peach Daiquiri
A Peach Daiquiri contains peaches, rum, lime juice, and a syrup. The taste is fresh, rich and the peach isn’t overpowered by the alcohol.
Recipe:
Step 1: Cut 4 peaches in half and take the seeds out. It is optional to peel the skin or not.
Step 2: Add 4 ounces of your choice of white rum to a blender with your peaches.
Step 3: Blend for 30 seconds, then add in your lime juice from 2 limes.
Step 4: Add ice to the blender, then blend for about 45 seconds.
Those all sound amazing. Wish I was old enough to try!
