Apple Cider Slushie

By Angela Lince

Apple Cider Slushies are a must during the fall season. Perfect for those warmer autumn days. Instead of having a simple glass of apple cider, spice it up with ice! This drink goes from basic to fab in a few easy steps.

Step 1: Gather Ingredients

  • 4 ice cubes
  • 2 cups of apple cider
  • Spices such as cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg (optional)
  • If you are of legal drinking age a shot of your favorite liquor would bring a welcome buzz to the drink. A suggestion from one of my of-age fellow staff would be Crown Royal Regal Apple or Fireball. Please drink responsibly. (optional)

Remember: Depending on your desired cup size, amounts can change.

Step 2: Prep Your Blender

Crush ice until it has a “slushie” look to it. The pulse setting on a blender can be extremely helpful in this ice crushing stage. Don’t be afraid to stop your blender and shake it up or mix it to aid in ice crushing.

Remember: When investing in a blender make sure it has amazing reviews. Mine gave up on two of the ice cubes included in the drink. Be ready for the occasional “ice frustration.”

Step 3: Blending and Adding Mixture

Take occasional stops to rearrange the ice, helping to prevent that “ice frustration.” Add the desired amount of cider and seasonings to the ice mixture. Blend again.

Step 4: Hello, Apple Cider Slushie!

Pour into a glass and voila! Drink up!

This drink is simple, and everyone loves it. If you’re looking to put smiles on your guest’s faces and deliciousness into their bellies you’ve come to the right place.
