COVID has changed everything, including meeting new people. With the idea of catching a virus lurking on everyone’s minds, it’s become hard to date someone new. Meeting people online has become the primary source of finding new love interests nowadays because it doesn’t require going outside.
“Stranger Danger” is always a thing, but if you’re willing to meet with someone new that you met online, here are some ideas for COVID-friendly dates that will also help you get to know the person.
1) Meet up for a coffee date

Suggest to the person to grab a cup of coffee together. If they’re not a coffee lover, they will still most likely find something on the menu that they will like. When it comes to going to a coffee shop for a date, that doesn’t mean you should go to Starbucks. Find a cute coffee shop in your town that you want to try and go there. You’ll be able to do something you’ve wanted to do, and you’ll be able to see if that person warms your heart as much as your coffee does.
2) Go bowling

Bowling is a great way to get to know someone. You get to see their competitive side, and they get to see yours. There aren’t many people going to bowling alleys during the weeknights, so scheduling a time to meet someone there would be a fun first date. Bowling alleys usually have deals throughout the week, so you won’t have to spend a lot of money.
3) Mini golf

Mini golfing is always a good time, especially with the new golf courses that have been seen popping up around the United States. Just like bowling alleys, they are inexpensive and have deals throughout the week. Going to a mini-golf course if you don’t know how to mini-golf would be fun because it allows your date to show you how. You get to learn a little more about them, and they can help you with a new skill.
4) Stargazing

If you have a car, get in and meet someone somewhere with a great view of the sky. Bring a blanket with you if you plan to sit outside of your car to make sure you don’t get cold, but look up at the sky with your date and wait for a shooting star to pass.
This makes for a more intimate date, but the conversations that will flow between the two of you won’t be like any other. You’ll be in a quiet spot where you’ll learn to trust each other with things that other people might not know about.
The only expense for this date would be gas. Other than that, there is nothing else.
