Out of all the seasons, fall definitely wins as the best season in my eyes. I look forward to it coming around every year, not just because my birthday is in November. There is just so much to do. Although my favorite fall activity has to be pumpkin picking and carving, it is usually a full-day event for me. Nothing gets me more excited for Halloween and the fall season in general. As I see it, this is the epitome of fall activities. The fresh fall air, getting outside before the icy cold sets in, and picking out the perfect pumpkin to create the spookiest jack-o’-lantern is what make this so special for me. It’s also an excuse for me to make a mess, as taking the guts out of the pumpkin is not a pretty process. At the end of it all, the pumpkin seeds are like a reward for all my hard work. Roasting them is the cherry on top of an ultimate day of fall festivities.

Fall is by far my favorite season, my two favorite activities would definitely be hiking and rewatching Gilmore Girls. Hiking in the fall is truly one of the most beautiful things that I love to do. The foliage always looks insane and the views at the end of each hike are so worth it because of how beautiful the trees are. Rewatching Gilmore Girls is another thing I love to do in the fall. If you’ve ever seen the show, you know that it screams fall vibes. It’s a great show to cuddle up under a blanket and drink a cup of coffee with, and I always feel so refreshed after watching the show.

My favorite fall activity would be going on a nature walk once the leaves have changed color. I will go outside every chance I get when fall is in full form to hear the crunching of leaves under my feet and to feel the comfortable breeze in the air. Having lived in upstate New York my whole life, I am used to experiencing the four seasons. But there’s just something special about fall. I never get tired of seeing the carefully blended shades of red, orange and yellow scattered throughout the trees. I can’t help but take photos as I walk down the sidewalk or even around my own yard, time and time again.

The reason I love fall so much, besides the universal answer, “the leaves changing color,” is because of the activities. I can start making my way through my tea collection and get an early start on my supply of hot chocolate. I can stock up on mini marshmallows for the hot chocolate. The chocolate drink is not complete without those little balls of sugar. Curling up on the couch in my favorite cardigan, joggers, and sweatshirt with my toes warmed up under the blanket. Also, the fall season is the best time for me to watch all the films I’ve been meaning to watch. In September I go through my own Disney marathon and other various animated films, while in October I watch as many horror/thriller films as I can. I have a lot of films in that genre on my IMDB list, and the fall season is the best time of year to watch them. A stormy fall night with the wind howling outside creates the perfect atmosphere.

My favorite thing about the fall season is the changing colors of leaves, and a close second would be the seasonal offerings at restaurants and some stores. I make it a habit of going on long-distance walks whenever I have free time, and the fall season is without a doubt the most beautiful time of year in my eyes.

Personally, I love the fall weather. In Plattsburgh, we almost always have school in the winter season. People are always happy once spring begins to chip in. Some fall activities I love to participate in will be hiking, running and jogging. I also love to play outdoor games with friends because, why not when you have the perfect weather for it.

Fall is by far my favorite season of the year. When I think of fall, I imagine carving pumpkins and apple picking. The best thing about the fall to me by far is the treats. My favorite fall activity would probably be baking. I love all the Halloween-designed and pumpkin-flavored treats the fall has to offer. I like making sugar cookies and cutting them in the shape of pumpkins or spooky ghosts. Then I like to decorate the cookies with frosting and sprinkles. Another fall favorite of mine is apple pie. I love the smell of warm apple pie fresh out of the oven. The best way to end a fall night is to eat a warm slice of apple pie and watch a scary movie under a blanket.
